Minor in Civil Engineering

The program offers three tracks (Structural, Geotechnical and Environmental) within the broader civil engineering discipline. Undergraduate students from other majors must select the minor track of interest to them and follow the coursework identified in the corresponding list of required courses. The main objective of the minor is to offer students an opportunity to enhance their technical competency in fields of great importance to the development and maintenance of civil infrastructure systems. The required courses for the three tracks have prerequisites and students will be required to seek approval for registration by the Department of Civil Engineering.

The Civil Engineering minor requires 18 credit hours for Structures Track, 18 credit hours for the Geotechnical Track and 19 credit hours for the Environmental Track.
