This course is designed to assist OTD students to translate their clinical doctoral thesis into a manuscript that can be submitted for publication to a refereed journal. Students will learn to use current health care reporting standards (e.g., CONSORT statement, COSMIN, CARE statement) as a basis from which to write a journal manuscript addressing clinical topics such as intervention effectiveness, instrument development, case reports, and professional discussion papers. Manuscript submission, revision, publication etiquette, and ethical conduct are also reviewed.

An individualized, self-directed course of study whereby students participate in a learning experience with the guidance of a faculty and an external mentor.
