M.S. in Construction Management
- Students will demonstrate an ability to solve construction management problems.
- Students will demonstrate an ability to work under an internship environment and document experience in written form.
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, another related engineering discipline, architecture, business or physical science. Candidates for admission from other backgrounds will be considered for admission if they have construction experience acceptable to the department. The admissions committee evaluates the preparation of non-engineering applicants and recommends leveling courses as appropriate. These courses are not part of the Master of Science in Construction Management degree plan. Applicants who do not have degrees from English medium universities are required to submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A score of 550 is required for admission.
Recommendations for admission are made on the basis of the following:
- Grade point average in upper-division or graduate work as appropriate.
- Resume or evidence of relevant personal or professional experience.
For the Master of Science in Construction Management Degree, students are required to complete a total of thirty (30) credit hours of coursework consisting of twenty-one (21) credits of required courses and nine (9) elective graduate level credits from the Civil Engineering and/or Business with an overall 3.0 GPA.
